It's A Crime

I finally finished my short story, it is about 8566 words.

Someday I hope to get it published. :-)

I don't have a title yet, but for the time being I'm calling it, "It's A Crime"


~Synopsis~

It wasn’t enough that Christy was grieving the loss of her foster sister Patty, who was also her best friend and roommate. Patty’s murderer had stalked both of them and had also threatened to kill her as well. This left her feeling scared and vulnerable, because he had told her it was just a matter of time. Christy made the decision to go to Tennessee to stay at her friend Veronica and Jason’s home until she could figure out what she was going to do while the killer was on the loose. Feelings of being watched left her feeling paranoid thinking that Patty’s killer was somehow going to find her. When she was attacked the new set of events compounded her problems, but in the middle of it all she found love. This short story is a fun, unpredictable story of a woman who overcomes difficult circumstances and has a chance to move on with her life with new friends who pull together when the going gets tough.

If you like romance, you will like this fun contemporary piece. Caitlyn is confused and hurting about what life has tossed her. Struggling with inner demons and feeling very sad about having to give her beloved dog Pugsley away, her day gets worse as outside forces seem to work against her when she is stranded in the middle of Wyoming. An unexpected series of events begins when an accident happens right in front of her. True heroism, mixed with the kindness of a truck driver named Ben shows Caitlyn a gentler side of life when he steps up to help her out.
